Position Overview:

We're growing rapidly and seeking a proactive, data-driven Sales Team Lead to join our Insurance Agency. The ideal candidate is a proven insurance sales professional with a proactive attitude, passion for coaching, leading by example, and using performance insights to drive results. In this role, you'll guide the team during their day-to-day activities -ready to support client engagement and opportunities as needed. Responsibilities:

  • Coaching & Feedback:

    Conduct regular performance reviews for sales producers to support individual growth and accountability.

  • Performance Analysis:

    Use CRM and sales data to assess individual and team metrics, identify opportunities, and optimize outcomes.

  • Structured Onboarding Programs:

    Develop success plans with defined milestones and hands-on support to ensure rapid ramp-up for new joiners.

  • Active Onboarding Leadership:

    Personally lead training and onboarding for each new team member, from day one through full productivity.

  • Day-to-Day Mentorship:

    Provide real-time coaching during sales activities—quoting, follow-ups, policy binding—and support client interactions and issue resolution as needed.

  • Forecasting & Reporting:

    Generate detailed monthly and quarterly performance reports with actionable insights. Collaborate with senior leadership to continuously improve sales operations.

  • Market Awareness:

    Track competitor activity, evolving market trends, and regulatory changes to guide team strategy.

  • Client Retention:

    Implement targeted retention initiatives to drive renewals and strengthen long-term relationships.

  • Industry Partnerships:

    Build and maintain strong relationships with underwriters and carrier partners to streamline approvals, resolve policy issues, and expand product offerings.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    Work closely with marketing, operations, and service teams to align efforts and improve the overall client experience.

  • Cultural Integration:

    Foster a collaborative, performance-oriented environment through mentorship, structured check-ins, and team-building.

  • Progress Monitoring:

    Implement clear systems to track performance, identify early challenges, and guide each new team member to success.

Job requirements

  • Active Insurance License (Property & Casualty)

  • 3+ years proven insurance sales experience with documented track record of exceeding targets

  • 2+ years team leadership experience with evidence of developing successful sales professionals

  • Advanced CRM proficiency and demonstrated ability to use data for decision-making

  • Exceptional communication skills with ability to influence and inspire teams
